Tray Table Studio, made for the journey

Privacy

PLACEHOLDER for Brigitta and Duncan. This page is a draft, not the final notice. It shows on the site until it is checked and this note is removed.

Tray Table Studio is run by Brigitta Derendinger-Smit [to confirm: her name or the business name]. This page explains what I keep when you use the forms on this site, why, and how to have it removed. It is written to follow South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What I keep

If you join the mailing list, I keep your email address, your first name if you give one, where you joined (this site or my market stall), the exact words you agreed to, and the date and time you agreed.

If you suggest a destination or ask about a custom piece, I keep your message, and your name and email or phone number if you choose to give them.

I keep nothing else about you. I don't ask for your address, your ID number, or any payment details, because this site doesn't sell anything.

Why I keep it

Who can see it

Only me, and the person who looks after the computer it is kept on. The details are stored on a private server in the United Kingdom [to confirm]. I don't pass them to anyone else, and I don't use advertising or tracking services.

How long I keep it

Your rights

You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can take back your agreement at any time. Every email I send will have a link to unsubscribe in one click. To use any of your other rights, write to me at [to confirm: email address]. My postal address is [to confirm].

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

On this website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking, and it loads nothing from other companies: no fonts, scripts, maps or videos. When you send one of the forms, your details go to my studio's own server and nowhere else.

Like any website, my server keeps a plain log of each visit (the internet address it came from, the page asked for, and the time). I use it only to keep the site working and safe, and it is deleted after about two weeks.
